Section 40-2A-7 Uniform revenue procedures. (a) Maintenance of records; audit and subpoena authority; authority to issue regulations. (1) In addition to all other recordkeeping requirements otherwise set out in this title, taxpayers shall keep and maintain an accurate and complete set of records, books, and other information sufficient to allow the department to determine the correct amount of value or correct amount of any tax, license, permit, or fee administered by the department, or other records or information as may be necessary for the proper administration of any matters under the jurisdiction of the department. Section 45-39-200.01 License commissioner - Seal; oath; bond. The county license commissioner shall have an official seal of office and shall maintain his or her permanent office in the court house of Lauderdale County. Before entering upon the duties of office, the county license commissioner shall take the oath prescribed by the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, and shall execute bond in such penal sum as prescribed by the county governing body, giving as surety thereon a bond issued by a bonding company authorized to do business in this state. (a) Only in the event of a vacancy due to death, retirement, resignation, or removal from office of a district or circuit judge, the Judicial Resources Allocation Commission shall have 30 days to determine whether to reallocate such judgeship to another district or circuit.
