Section 11-50B-8 Meetings, hearings, etc., open to public; notice; petition; election; procedure. (a) Actions of the governing body of a public provider relating to the provision of cable service or telecommunications service by the public provider, shall be taken in meetings open to the public consistent with any one or more of Sections 11-43-49, 11-43A-21, 11-44C-25, and 13A-14-2, as amended, respectively, or other similar statutory provisions, as shall otherwise govern meetings of the governing body of the affected public provider. (b) Prior to the determination of the governing body of a public provider of cable service to commence furnishing cable service to subscribers in the exercise of authority granted under this chapter, the governing body of the public provider shall conduct a public hearing. Section 17-6-28 Requirements for write-in votes. (a) Write-in votes shall be permitted only in non-municipal general elections and shall be counted as provided in this section based on one of the following: (1) Upon a determination that the number of write-in votes for a specific office is greater than or equal to the difference in votes between the two candidates receiving the greatest number of votes for the specific office. (2) Upon a written request satisfying the requirements in subsection (i). (b) The ballot for a non-municipal general election must be constructed so that the voter can mark a write-in vote for each office in the same manner that votes are registered for regular candidates. Section 34-23-90 Authority; composition. (a) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy is vested with the authority to carry out the purposes of and enforce this chapter. The board shall consist of five members who are citizens of this state. The members of the board shall be licensed pharmacists who have been licensed in this state for a minimum of five years and who are actively engaged in the practice of pharmacy or pharmacy administration, or both. (a) In every criminal case the jury shall be drawn, selected and empaneled as follows: Upon the trial by jury in the circuit courts of any person charged with a felony, including a capital felony, a misdemeanor, or violation, the court shall require a strike list or lists to be compiled from the names appearing on the master strike list as established in Section 12-16-74.
