Section 45-8-110.20 Meeting dates; executive secretary; office space and supplies. (a) The Board of Registrars of Calhoun County shall meet on the first Monday and for nine consecutive days thereafter, Sundays and legal holidays excepted, in the months of February, March, April, May, June, July, August, and September of each year, and on the first Monday and for 19 consecutive days thereafter, Sundays and legal holidays excepted, in the months of October, November, December, and January of each year, for the purpose of registering voters. An applicant may register at the courthouse or at any other location in the county designated by the board of registrars. When the board meets at the courthouse it shall stay in session from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. (a) The proceeds of all bonds, other than refunding bonds, issued by the authority remaining after paying expenses of their issuance shall be deposited in the State Treasury and shall be carried in the State Treasury in a special or separate account.
