Section 17-3-10 Expenditure of county funds for supplies, office space, etc.; clerical personnel
of boards. All county governing bodies are authorized and directed to expend county funds
for supplies, equipment, telephone service, office space, and clerical help as may be necessary
to carry out the purposes and provisions of this chapter. Any clerical personnel who work
under the direction of the board of registrars shall be selected by the board of registrars,

Section 22-21-318 Powers of authority. (a) In addition to all other powers granted elsewhere
in this article, and subject to the express provisions of its certificate of incorporation,
an authority shall have the following powers, together with all powers incidental thereto
or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate
name for the duration of time, which may be in perpetuity, specified in its certificate of

Section 45-8-110.20 Meeting dates; executive secretary; office space and supplies. (a) The
Board of Registrars of Calhoun County shall meet on the first Monday and for nine consecutive
days thereafter, Sundays and legal holidays excepted, in the months of February, March, April,
May, June, July, August, and September of each year, and on the first Monday and for 19 consecutive
days thereafter, Sundays and legal holidays excepted, in the months of October, November,
December, and January of each year, for the purpose of registering voters. An applicant may
register at the courthouse or at any other location in the county designated by the board

Section 45-49-190 Legislative delegation. (a) The governing body of Mobile County, jointly
with the governing bodies of any incorporated municipalities within the county, may provide
office accommodations for the members of the state legislative delegation from the county
and also provide legislative assistants and an office manager to such legislative delegation.
The largest city in Mobile County shall provide the office space and the telephone for the
office, or at least the price thereof with the advice and consent of the delegation as to
its location. The other incorporated municipalities in the county shall each pay eight cents
per capita to cover other expenses of maintaining and operating such offices. The county shall

Section 45-45-161 Distribution of payments. (a)(1) Pursuant to the authority granted by Section
40-28-2, Madison County's share of payments made by the Tennessee Valley Authority to the
state in lieu of ad valorem taxes shall be distributed in the following manner: (1) Up to
one percent of such payments each year shall be used to establish, equip, and maintain a legislative

Section 45-49-120.06 Personnel board. (a)(1) The personnel board shall consist of five members

Section 40-3-8 Proration of compensation payments; employment of staff; inventory of property

Alabama Human Development Council is hereby established as a nonprofit entity. The members
