Section 11-46-62 Offenses of inspectors. (a) Any inspector of an election who shall, without challenging him, permit any person to vote in a municipal election knowing that he is not a qualified elector shall be fined not less than $100.00. (b) Any inspector of an election who shall willfully exclude any vote duly tendered and unchallenged in a municipal election, knowing that the person offering the same is lawfully entitled to vote at such election, or who shall willfully receive a vote from any person who has been duly challenged in relation to his right to vote at such election, without exacting from such person such oath or other proof of qualification as is required by law shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than $100.00 and may also be sentenced to hard labor for the county for not more than six months. The State Hotel Inspector, upon ascertaining by inspection or otherwise that any hotel is being operated contrary to the rules and regulations of the State Board of Health, shall notify the owner, manager, agent, or person in charge of such hotel, in writing, in what respect it fails to comply with the regulations and require such person, within a reasonable time to be fixed by the the State Hotel Inspector, to do, or cause to be done, the things necessary to make it comply with the regulations, whereupon such owner, manager, agent, or person in charge of such hotel shall forthwith comply with such requirements.
