Section 16-33A-10 False statements and misrepresentations. Any person who knowingly makes or furnishes any false statement or misrepresentation, or who accepts such false statement or misrepresentation knowing the same to be false, for the purpose of wrongfully obtaining a grant under this chapter or enabling an individual student to wrongfully obtain a grant under this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as by law provided for a misdemeanor.
