Section 41-15B-2.2 Allocation of trust fund revenues. (a) For each fiscal year, beginning October
1, 1999, contingent upon the Children First Trust Fund receiving tobacco revenues and upon
appropriation by the Legislature, an amount of up to and including two hundred twenty-five
thousand dollars ($225,000), or equivalent percentage of the total fund, shall be designated
for the administration of the fund by the council and the Commissioner of Children's Affairs.
(b) For the each fiscal year, beginning October 1, 1999, contingent upon the Children First
Trust Fund receiving tobacco revenues, the remainder of the Children First Trust Fund, in
the amounts provided for in Section 41-15B-2.1, shall be allocated as follows: (1) Ten percent
of the fund shall be allocated to the Department of Public Health for distribution to one

Section 22-18-50 Enactment and text of Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate
Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact is hereby enacted
into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially
as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public through verification of competency
and ensure accountability for patient care related activities all states license emergency
medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), advanced EMTs
and paramedics. This Compact is intended to facilitate the day to day movement of EMS personnel
across state boundaries in the performance of their EMS duties as assigned by an appropriate
authority and authorize state EMS offices to afford immediate legal recognition to EMS personnel

Section 37-11A-1 Execution and text of compact. The Governor, on behalf of this state, shall
execute a compact, in substantially the following form, with the State of Mississippi, and
the Legislature approves and ratifies the compact in the form substantially as follows: Northeast

Section 28-3-190 Levy of tax; collection; disposition of proceeds by localities; enforcement
and administration; penalties; exclusive nature of tax. (a) Levy. In addition to the excise
tax levied by Article 5A of Chapter 3 of this title and the licenses provided for by Chapter
3A of this title and by Section 28-3-194, and any acts amendatory thereof, supplementary thereto

or excise tax on every person licensed under the provisions of Chapter 3A who sells, stores,

Section 11-81-84 Conduct of election generally. The probate judge, the circuit clerk, and the
sheriff of the county in which an election is being held under this article, within 10 days
after notice in writing to them of the calling of such election, shall appoint three managers,
two clerks, and one returning officer to conduct the election in each beat or polling place
in the county, and said managers shall all reside in the beats, wards, or precincts where
they are appointed to serve and shall be qualified electors at the date of said election.
The sheriff shall notify the managers and returning officers of their appointments and shall
send out the boxes and ballots to the several beats or voting precincts in the county promptly.

Section 6-9-232 Filing judgment with clerk of circuit court; effect of judgment. A copy of
any foreign judgment authenticated in accordance with an act of Congress or the statutes of
this state may be filed in the office of the clerk of any circuit court of this state. A clerk
of any circuit court shall note the filing in a special docket set up for foreign judgments.
A judgment so filed has the same effect and is subject to the same procedures, defenses and
proceedings for reopening, vacating, or staying as a judgment of a circuit court of this state

Section 14-6-15 Commitment or discharge of prisoners - Duty of sheriff to report to clerk of
circuit court. When a prisoner is committed to the county jail, it is the duty of the sheriff

Section 36-11-18 Execution of process, etc., where sheriff or clerk of court subject to impeachment
proceedings. In all cases in which the sheriff is the party accused, all process relating
to the case shall be executed by the coroner of the county or, if there is no coroner, then
