Section 8-7A-2 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) AGENT or AUTHORIZED DELEGATE. Any person designated or employed by a licensee under this chapter to provide monetary transmission services on behalf of the licensee. (2) APPLICANT. Any person that files an application for a license under this chapter. (3) BANK. An institution organized under federal or state law which meets any of the following requirements: a. Accepts demand deposits or deposits that the depositor may use for payment to third parties and engages in the business of making loans. b. Engages in credit card operations and maintains only one office that accepts deposits, does not accept demand deposits or deposits that a depositor may use for payments to third parties, does not accept a savings or time deposit less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), and does not engage in the business of making commercial loans. c. Section 15-18-179 Application for incorporation; certificate of incorporation; amendment; board of directors; dissolution; funding; competitive bidding laws not applicable. (a) A public corporation may be organized as a community punishment and corrections authority pursuant to this article in any county or group of counties located in one or more judicial circuits. Stability Commission is inclusive and reflects the racial, gender, geographic, urban, rural, and economic diversity of the state. (k) The commission shall make an annual report to members of the Legislature no later than the seventh legislative day of each regular session beginning in 2018 detailing all commission activities and recommendations. Section 34-14A-4 Officers; meetings; compensation. (a) Members of the board shall select from its own membership a chair, who shall preside at all meetings of the board unless otherwise ordered, and he or she shall exercise and perform all duties and functions incident to the office of chair. The board may select from its own membership a vice-chair, a secretary, and a treasurer. The offices of secretary and treasurer may be held by the same person. (a) The governing body of Mobile County, jointly with the governing bodies of any incorporated municipalities within the county, may provide office accommodations for the members of the state legislative delegation from the county and also provide legislative assistants and an office manager to such legislative delegation.
