Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule
of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability,
the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time
of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68,
but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the
minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average
weekly earnings per week. This compensation shall be paid during the time of the disability,
but at the time as a temporary total disability shall become permanent, compensation for the
continued total disability shall be governed by (a)(4) of this section with respect to permanent
total disability. Payments are to be made at the intervals when the earnings were payable,

Section 17-12-11 Returns of election - How made; duty of judge of probate. One copy of the
certificate of the result of the election shall be signed by the inspector and enclosed in
an envelope, which shall then be securely sealed, and the inspector shall write his or her
name across every fold at which the envelope, if unfastened, could be opened. The envelope,
with certificate enclosed, shall be at once delivered to the judge of probate in the condition
received. The judge of probate shall keep and preserve the same unopened until the canvassing
board meets to ascertain the result of the election. In case of loss, mutilation, or absence

Section 17-16-20 Recounts generally. (a) When, in a general election, the election returns
for any public office, including a judicial office, reflect that a candidate is defeated or
any ballot statewide measure is defeated by not more than one half of one percent of the votes
cast for the office, or the ballot measure, as certified by the appropriate election officer,
a recount shall be held unless the defeated candidate submits a written waiver for the recount

At elections where paper ballots are used, as soon as the ballots are all counted, the inspectors
