Section 45-49-120.04 Supervisory committee. (a) There is hereby established the Supervisory Committee of the Mobile County Personnel Board. The supervisory committee hereby created shall succeed to and exercise all the rights, powers, and authority, and shall perform all the duties and functions now vested in and required of the Citizen's Supervisory Committee created by Act 470, 1939 Regular Session (Acts 1939, p. 298) and the Supervisory Committee of the Mobile County Personnel Board created by Act 167, 1955 Regular Session (Acts 1955, p. 431). Section 6-5-4 Recovery of public moneys, funds or property. (a) The Governor may cause actions to be commenced for the recovery of any public moneys, funds, or property of the state or of any county which have been lost by the neglect or default of any public officer, which have been wrongfully expended or disbursed by such officer, which have been wrongfully used by such officer, or which have been wrongfully received from him. Section 8-38-9 Violations of notification requirements. (a) A violation of the notification provisions of this chapter is an unlawful trade practice under the Alabama Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Chapter 19 of this title, but does not constitute a criminal offense under Section 8-19-12. (a) Whenever, on the basis of any information, the department determines that any person is in violation of any requirement of this chapter, any rule or regulation promulgated by the department or any permit issued under authority granted by this chapter, the department may issue an order requiring compliance immediately or within a specified time period, and, in cases where an imminent threat to human health or the environment is demonstrated, suspend operations causing such threat until the department determines that adequate steps are being taken to correct such violations.
