Section 16-9-29 Quadrennial school census. The county superintendent of education, subject to the provisions of this title, shall direct the taking of the county quadrennial school census. He shall cause the census to be retaken in whole or in part when directed to do so by the State Superintendent of Education. The county superintendent shall require the enumerators to make their report to him not later than August 15 following the date of taking the census. On or before September 1 following, the county superintendent of education shall make his consolidated report to the State Superintendent of Education. This consolidated report shall include the census data reported to him by the superintendents of schools of cities having a city board of education.
