Section 45-28A-42.13 Election of chair. The civil service board shall elect one of its members as chair who shall hold office as such chair at the pleasure of the board. The civil service board shall hold regular monthly meetings at the same time each month with the meeting dates established and made public through posting at the meeting place and through the media by the first day of each year for the transaction of business. It may hold special meetings at any time as called by the chair provided at least 48 hours' advance public notice of such special meetings has been both posted on the bulletin board nearest to the meeting place in city hall and has been given through the news media.
