Section 16-46B-8 Incorporation of computer science into Alabama Math and Science Teacher
Education Loan Repayment Program. (a) Subject to appropriations from the Legislature, the
teaching field of computer science shall be added to the list of eligible subject areas identified
within the Alabama Math and Science Teacher Education Loan Repayment Program (AMSTEP), Article
3, commencing with Section 16-5-50, Chapter 5 of this title, with the following exceptions:
(1) Computer science recipients shall be eligible to receive a total of three thousand dollars
($3,000) per year or one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) per semester worked. (2) Computer
science teachers are not eligible to receive the acute shortage area supplement, until such
time as the Alabama Commission on Higher Education and the State Department of Education concur
that there is sufficient need or resources, or both, available to allow its inclusion. (b)

Section 22-39-5 Certification requirement; civil penalty. (a) The Alabama Department
of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to require any person, firm, or corporation
who is the owner or operator of any asbestos removal project for which notification is required
pursuant to the requirements of the Clean Air Act of the United States to insure that the
personnel executing the asbestos removal project are certified by the Safe-State Program,
the accreditation agency of the State of Alabama, which is authorized to accredit asbestos

Owners of motor vehicles or their spouses who are residents of Alabama and who are receiving
monthly retirement checks from an education retirement pension program from any state, shall

Section 34-14A-20 Alabama Construction Trade Academy Fund; Alabama Construction Trade
Advisory Council; applications for funding; program guidelines. (a) The Alabama Construction
Trade Academy Fund is established in the State Treasury. The fund shall be comprised of federal,
state, and private funding through direct budgetary funding and grants for the expansion of
construction trade education. To the extent practicable, monies in the fund shall be used
to leverage other forms of funding from private sources. A percentage of matching funds, as

Section 34-39-8 Application for license; requirements. An applicant for licensure as
an occupational therapist or as an occupational therapy assistant shall be a citizen of the
United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present in
