Section 16-6A-9 Development of plan for improving courses in critical needs areas. (a)
The State Board of Education shall develop and establish a comprehensive plan for improving
courses in science, mathematics, computer education and other critical needs areas. In developing
such plan, the superintendent shall consult with teacher organizations, school personnel,
legislative leaders, the Governor's office, representatives from private industry, public
and private higher education and from the fields of education, mathematics, science and computer
education. Such program shall be divided into three phases with the first phase being introduced
at the beginning of the 1985-1986 school year and another phase to begin each of the following
two years. The entire program should be operative at the end of three years. (b) The comprehensive

Section 34-24-70 Qualifications of applicants. (a) The following constitute the requirements
for the issuance of a certificate of qualification for a license to practice medicine in this
state: (1) MEDICAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENT. All applicants for a certificate of qualification
shall present a diploma or evidence of graduation from any of the following institutions:

ceasing operations. (a) This chapter shall not apply to any school offering instruction in
grades K-12, or any combination thereof, including any person in regard to the operation of

Section 34-24-193 Board of Physical Therapy - Powers and duties; certification fee;
administrative fines; impaired practitioner program. (a) It shall be the duty of the board
to pass upon the qualifications of applicants for licensing as physical therapists and licensing
as physical therapist assistants, to conduct examinations, to issue licenses and renewals
to physical therapists and physical therapist assistants qualifying under this article and
in a proper case to suspend or revoke the license of such persons. The board may adopt rules
and regulations not inconsistent with law as it may deem necessary for the performance of

Section 16-13-231 Purposes and plan of apportionment. (a) In addition to all other appropriations
and apportionments of public school money now provided by law and made available for public
schools there shall be apportioned and paid to local boards of education from the Foundation
Program Fund, the amounts to be determined as hereinafter provided and in accordance with
regulations of the State Board of Education. This Foundation Program Fund shall be used principally:
