Section 16-25-11.6 Purchase of credit for employment with school operated by Department
of Defense. (a) Any active and contributing member of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama
who was a regular employee of a school operated by the Department of Defense of the United
States of America and is now covered by the Teachers' Retirement System shall be eligible
to receive credit for such service provided that the member of the Teachers' Retirement System
claiming such credit shall have attained not less than 10 years of contributing membership
service credit exclusive of military service credit under the Teachers' Retirement System,
and provided further that such member performs and complies with the conditions prescribed
in subsection (b). (b) A member of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama eligible under
subsection (a) may receive credit for employment rendered to a school operated by the Department

needs. (a) No later than the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year, the State Department
of Education, in consultation with the Alabama Board of Nursing, shall develop guidelines
for the training of school employees in the care needed for students with diabetic medical
needs according to the student's Individual Health Plan, the medical authorizations of which
are limited to permitting the administration of injectable medications specific to his or

federations and agencies with a substantial local presence. (a) Participation in the Alabama
State Employee Combined Charitable Campaign shall be limited to voluntary, charitable, health
and human care federations and agencies with a substantial local presence that provide or
support direct health and welfare services to individuals or their families and meet the criteria

staffed by professionals or volunteers, available to provide its services and open at least
