Section 13A-11-72 Certain persons forbidden to possess pistol. (a) No person who has
been convicted in this state or elsewhere of committing or attempting to commit a crime of
violence, misdemeanor offense of domestic violence, violent offense as listed in Section
12-25-32(15), anyone who is subject to a valid protection order for domestic abuse, or anyone
of unsound mind shall own a firearm or have one in his or her possession or under his or her
control. (b) No person who is a minor, except under the circumstances provided in this section,
a drug addict, or an habitual drunkard shall own a pistol or have one in his or her possession
or under his or her control. (c) Subject to the exceptions provided by Section 13A-11-74,

Section 16-13-232 Determining number of teacher units and instructional support units;
grade level divisors. (a) In determining the number of teacher units for the purpose of apportioning
the state Foundation Program, one teacher unit or fraction thereof shall be allowed for the
specified number of pupils in average daily membership as provided for in subsection (b),
during the first 20 scholastic days following Labor Day of the preceding school year in the
public schools. In extreme circumstances involving natural occurrences, health-related occurrences,
or other extenuating circumstances as determined and approved by the State Superintendent
of Education, average daily membership for local boards of education may be calculated using

Section 16-65-5 Powers of authority. The authority shall have all of the following powers:
(1) To adopt an official seal and alter the same at its pleasure. (2) To sue and be sued in

Section 34-14A-20 Alabama Construction Trade Academy Fund; Alabama Construction Trade
Advisory Council; applications for funding; program guidelines. (a) The Alabama Construction
Trade Academy Fund is established in the State Treasury. The fund shall be comprised of federal,
state, and private funding through direct budgetary funding and grants for the expansion of
construction trade education. To the extent practicable, monies in the fund shall be used
to leverage other forms of funding from private sources. A percentage of matching funds, as
established by the advisory council, must come from private, non-governmental sources. The
