Section 34-1A-5 Licenses - Issuance; fees; suspension or revocation; nonresident license; display;
written service contracts; confidential information. (a) The board shall issue licenses authorized
by this chapter to all qualified individuals in accordance with rules or regulations established
by the board. (b)(1) Effective beginning January 1, 2014, the license fee for a two-year period
as set by the board shall not exceed three hundred dollars ($300) for an individual and one
thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) for a business entity. (2) Effective for the license
year beginning January 1, 2014, and thereafter, the board may provide for the licenses to
be renewed on a staggered basis as determined by rule of the board and, in order to stagger
the license renewals, may issue the license for less than a two-year period. The amount of

Section 34-39-3 Definitions. In this chapter, the following terms shall have the respective
meanings provided in this section unless the context clearly requires a different meaning:

Section 37-3-20 Tariffs of common carriers. (a) Every common carrier by motor vehicle shall
file with the commission and keep open to the public inspection tariffs showing all the rates,
fares and charges for transportation and all services in connection therewith of passengers

Section 40-9-14.1 Certificates of exemption to governmental entities, contractors, etc., for
certain tax exempt projects. (a) For the purposes of this section, the term governmental entity
means the State of Alabama and its political subdivisions, including a county, a municipality,

Section 10A-8A-1.02 Definitions. Notwithstanding Section 10A-1-1.03, as used in this chapter,
unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms mean: (1) "Business"

Notwithstanding any statute or law to the contrary, any Class 4 municipality which adopts
this form of mayor-council government may legally purchase or lease from any of the elected
officials or employees of such municipality any labor, services, work, materials, equipment,
or supplies under the competitive bidding procedures established by Section 41-16-50 et seq.,
and such elected official or employee may legally sell same to the municipality under those
