Section 16-1-36 Tutoring programs for students accessed below average SAT scores. (a) Beginning in the 2000-2001 school year, any public school student in this state who is required by statute or regulation of the State Department of Education to be tested or assessed by Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) or any other assessment used by the school system who scores or is assessed at a range of one grade below any subject or subjects, or falls below the average of the school system assessment shall be provided tutoring programs for reading skills and other subjects by the department. The tutoring program shall be provided within the school system of the student. Tutoring programs shall continue two additional times for any student while attending the school for any subject or subjects until the student scores or is assessed in the average range or above for each subject being tutored, however, the school system may continue the tutoring sessions, and the program shall remain for all other...

Section 11-96-6 Continuation of certain community action agencies. Any community action agency, whether public or private which has been designated as such at the time of passage of this chapter and which has received funding as an "eligible entity" under Section 673(1) of the Community Services Block Grant Act shall maintain such designation and shall continue to receive any funds designated for community action programs as long as those agencies comply with the provisions of this chapter and all other applicable state or federal laws or regulations.
