Section 24-4A-3 Powers and duties of commission generally; insignia of approval; modification
of units prior to or during installation; authority of local government agencies; fee schedule;
manufactured buildings approved by other states. (a) The commission is authorized to promulgate
rules, and enter into contracts, and do such things as may be necessary and incidental to

Section 23-1-40 Duties and powers generally. (a) It shall be the duty of the Department
of Transportation to designate the roads to be constructed, repaired, and maintained and to
construct, standardize, repair, and maintain roads and bridges of this state; and it shall

Section 33-7-53 Development and relief work upon and abutting on tidelands. In order
to encourage the building of bridges, causeways and other development work and relief work,
the owner of any lands in the State of Alabama abutting on tidelands, the title to which or
control of which may now or hereafter be vested in the State of Alabama, which shall not have

Section 40-9-14.1 Certificates of exemption to governmental entities, contractors, etc.,
for certain tax exempt projects. (a) For the purposes of this section, the term governmental
entity means the State of Alabama and its political subdivisions, including a county, a municipality,
