Section 11-48-5 Adoption of ordinance or resolution describing proposed improvement, ordering
preparation of plans, specifications, etc., thereof, etc. (a) When the council of any city
or town shall determine to open, widen, extend, construct, or improve any street, alley, avenue,
sidewalk, highway, or other public place or to make any other public improvements or undertake
any work authorized by the provisions of this article, the cost of which or any part thereof
it is proposed to assess against the property abutting on, served, illuminated, drained, elevated,

Section 22-28-16 Permits. (a) The commission, by regulation, shall prohibit the construction,
installation, modification or use of any equipment, device or other article which it finds
may cause or contribute to air pollution or which is intended primarily to prevent or control
the emission of air pollutants unless a permit therefor has been obtained from the director.
(b) The commission may require that applications for such permits shall be accompanied by
plans, specifications and such other information as it deems necessary. (c) The commission
shall provide for the issuance, suspension, revocation and renewal of any permits which it
may require pursuant to this section. (d) No person shall construct, install, modify or use

Section 24-6-2 Commission created; composition. The Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission,
hereinafter referred to as "the commission," is created and shall function as the
principal executive branch agency with powers to provide for a comprehensive manufactured
and modular housing and building program with respect to construction, transportation, site
location, or manufacturing standards for such structures. The commission shall consist of
an advisory board of nine members, an administrator, and other staff and personnel. The membership

The commission may purchase, lease, acquire, or otherwise implement a statewide wireless communication
system to serve first responder users in state and local governments and those private entities

of Jefferson County shall have authority, after notice as provided herein, to move or demolish
