Section 41-9-450 Creation; composition; appointment and terms of office of members; officers; compensation and expenses of members; meetings generally; quorum. There shall be created and established as provided in this article a board to be designated and known as the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Board. The board shall be composed of 14 members, eleven of whom shall be appointed by the Governor of Alabama for terms of six years each. Of the first members appointed, two shall serve for two years, and three shall serve for four years as the Governor may direct. One board member shall be appointed for each congressional district in the state.
