Section 31-10-4.1 Qualifications for tuition reimbursement applicants; priority of state educational benefits; tuition rates; applicability of section; repayment of benefits. (a) Beginning October 1, 2016, any member of the Alabama National Guard enrolled in a program leading to a certificate, or an associate or bachelor's degree at an accredited public institution of higher education, technical college, or community college within the State of Alabama may apply for a tuition reimbursement benefit as provided for in this section if the applicant under this chapter meets the following requirements: (1) The individual is 17 years of age or over. Section 38-12B-6 Eligibility; disbursement of funds. (a) To be eligible to participate in the program, a scholarship applicant shall satisfy all of the following: (1) Be in the legal custody of the foster care program of the department at the time of graduation from high school or earning a General Educational Development (GED) high school equivalency certification; or in the permanent legal custody of the foster care program of the department when his or her adoption is finalized, at 14 years of age or older, and has graduated from high school or earned a GED certification. Section 40-1-46 Payment to certain certified appraisers, mappers, or tax administrators. (a) Any appraiser, mapper, or tax administrator who successfully completes the Department of Revenue Professional Education and Training Program, and is awarded the designation "Alabama Certified Appraiser," "Alabama Certified Mapper" or "Alabama Certified Tax Administrator" shall be paid the amount of $1,200 annually by the Department of Revenue for his or her professional achievement. (a) The department shall administer and collect this tax and shall promulgate rules and regulations necessary and reasonable for the administration of this article.
