Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports
it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. (2) The gross proceeds of the sale, or sales,
of fertilizer when used for agricultural purposes. The word "fertilizer" shall not
be construed to include cottonseed meal, when not in combination with other materials. (3)
The gross proceeds of the sale, or sales, of seeds for planting purposes and baby chicks and

Section 45-6-242 Levy of taxes; exemptions; payment of taxes; reports by taxpayers; applicability
of state sales tax statutes; disposition of funds. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases
where used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context
clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "County" means Bullock County in the

end of third grade, each local education agency shall offer a comprehensive core reading program
to all students based on the science of reading which develops foundational reading skills.
In addition, no school district may use any curriculum for public K-3 students that does not
have instructional time included. (b) Based on the results of the reading assessment in Section
16-6G-3, each K-3 student who exhibits a reading deficiency, or the characteristics of dyslexia,

Section 23-1-352 Definitions. For the purpose of the laws of this state relating to aeronautics,

Section 27-7-5 Licenses - Qualifications. (a) An individual applying for a resident insurance
producer license shall make application to the commissioner on the Uniform Application, and
an individual applying for a service representative license shall make application to the
commissioner on the application prescribed by the commissioner, each declaring under penalty
of refusal, suspension, or revocation of the license that the statements made in the application

Articulation and General Studies Committee. (a)(1) The Commission on Higher Education is authorized
to review periodically all new and existing programs and units of instruction, research, and
public service funded by state appropriations at the state universities and colleges and to
share with the appropriate governing board, through the president of the institution, and

for the issuance of a certificate of qualification for a license to practice medicine in this
