Section 22-22A-5 Powers and functions of department; representation of department by Attorney
General in legal actions. In addition to any other powers and functions which may be conferred
upon it by law, the department is authorized beginning October 1, 1982 to: (1) Administer

Section 16-47-33 Records of trustees' proceedings preserved; payment of expenses of trustees.
The proceedings of the board of trustees must be recorded in a substantially bound book, which
must be kept in the archives of the university; and the board may at any meeting employ a
secretary. The certificate of the president or, in his absence, of the president pro tempore,
countersigned by the secretary, if there is one, shall entitle the several trustees to their
constitutional pay out of the treasury of the university; and the compensation of the secretary

Section 16-6G-7 Alabama Committee on Grade Level Reading. (a) The State Superintendent of Education
shall establish the Alabama Committee on Grade Level Reading. The committee shall consist

Section 29-6-2 Composition. (a) The President of the Senate shall be a member of the Legislative
Council but may vote on issues before the Legislative Council only in the case of a tie. At
its first meeting during each quadrennium and at such other times as necessary, the Legislative
Council shall elect a chair and vice chair from among the membership of the council. The position
