Section 11-43-50 Proceedings - Regular and special meetings; cancelling and rescheduling meetings. (a) There shall be at least two regular meetings of the council in each month, except that in towns, as defined in Section 11-40-6, there shall be at least one regular meeting of the council in each month; but provided, however, the council of any town may, by ordinance, mandate at least two regular meetings of the council in each month, and the presiding officer shall call special meetings whenever in his or her opinion the public interest may require it and whenever two council members or the mayor request the presiding officer in writing to call a meeting. Section 2-10-63 Removal of officer or director. Any member may bring charges against an officer or director by filing them in writing with the secretary of the association, together with a petition signed by 10 percent of the members, requesting the removal of the officer or director in question. The removal shall be voted upon at the next regular or special meeting of the association; and, by a vote of a majority of the members, the association may remove the officer or director and fill the vacancy.
