Section 26-16-4 Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board - Composition; terms; officers and committees; compensation. (a) The state board shall be composed of the following 14 members: (1) The Commissioner of the State Department of Human Resources, the State Mental Health Officer, the State Health Officer, the State Superintendent of Education, and the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency or designees authorized to speak on their behalf. (2) Nine public members appointed by the Governor, one from each of the seven congressional districts into which the state is divided for the purpose of electing representatives in the United States Congress, and two from the state at large. Section 34-23-90 Authority; composition. (a) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy is vested with the authority to carry out the purposes of and enforce this chapter. The board shall consist of five members who are citizens of this state. The members of the board shall be licensed pharmacists who have been licensed in this state for a minimum of five years and who are actively engaged in the practice of pharmacy or pharmacy administration, or both. (b) Three members shall be appointed by the Governor. (a) There shall be an advisory board of 17 members to assist in the establishment of rules, regulations, and standards necessary to carry out this article and to serve as consultants to the State Health Officer.
