Section 36-21-104 Tuition Eligibility Board. There is created the Tuition Eligibility Board, which shall determine the eligibility of any persons applying under the provisions of this article. The Tuition Eligibility Board shall certify to the Alabama Commission on Higher Education the eligible persons to receive tuition assistance under the provisions of Section 36-21-102. Section 16-1-42 High school fast track to college program. (a) The State Superintendent of Education, the Chancellor of the Department of Postsecondary Education, and the Alabama Commission on Higher Education shall develop a plan for a high school fast track to college program that offers qualified individuals an opportunity to earn a high school diploma while earning credits for a certificate program or an associate's degree. (b) To be eligible to earn a high school diploma pursuant to this section, an individual shall be either: (1) Eighteen years of age and not currently enrolled in school.
