Section 12-17-226.10 Written agreement; other terms and conditions. (a) In any case in which
an offender is admitted into a pretrial diversion program established under this division,
there shall be a written agreement between the district attorney and the offender. The agreement
shall include the terms of the pretrial diversion program, the length of the program, as practicable
as possible, the costs of the program to the offender, and the period of time after which
the district attorney must dispose of the charges against the offender. If, as part of the
pretrial diversion program, the offender agrees to plead guilty to a particular charge or
charges and receives a specific sentence, an agreement concerning when the plea of guilt will
occur, to what charges to which the offender will plead guilty, and any sentence to be imposed
shall be approved by and submitted to an appropriate circuit or district court judge having

Section 16-6B-7 Accountability reports to the public. (a) The local board of education shall
prepare an annual accountability report for each school and area vocational/technical center
under its jurisdiction, and for itself, to be provided to the public under regulations promulgated

Section 40-18-135 Definitions. The following definitions apply to this article: (1) APPROVED
BASIC SKILLS EDUCATION PROGRAM. A basic skills education program that has received written
approval from the Alabama Department of Education pursuant to this article. (2) BASIC SKILLS
EDUCATION PROGRAM. An approved employer provided or employer sponsored education program that
enhances basic skills of employees up to and including the twelfth grade functional level.
(3) COSTS OF EDUCATION. Direct instructional expenses incurred for or relating to instructors,

Section 16-23-3 Provisional certificates. (a) It is the intent of the Legislature that the
State of Alabama shall modify its policies relative to the certification of teachers to permit
an expanded alternative certification program for prospective teachers for grades six through
