Section 12-23A-9 Functions of Administrative Office of Courts. (a) The Administrative Office of Courts, hereinafter AOC, shall assist in the planning, implementation, and development of drug courts statewide. AOC shall make recommendations to the Alabama Supreme Court and the Chief Justice concerning the legal, policy, and procedural issues confronting the drug courts in the state. Nothing in this section shall impede the constitutional authority of the district attorney. (b) AOC shall provide state-level coordination and support for drug court judges and their programs and operate as a liaison between drug court judges and other state-level agencies providing services to or benefitting from drug court programs. Section 20-2-65 Disciplinary action - Hearing; restriction, suspension, or revocation of certificate. (a) Any hearing for disciplinary action against an assistant to physician holding a valid Qualified Alabama Controlled Substances Registration Certificate for violations of this article shall be before the board. Section 34-2-34 Refusal, revocation, or suspension of certificate; grounds; hearing; appeal. The Board of Nursing may initiate disciplinary actions against a certified registered nurse practitioner or a certified nurse midwife for violations of Section 34-21-86. (a) The county governing body of Cullman County is authorized, when the need exists, to provide protection against forest fires in Cullman County by participating in the Alabama Forestry Commission's fire protection program in the manner hereinafter specified.
