Section 16-47-52 Appropriations not to affect other appropriations to university. Since it is the purpose of this chapter to establish and maintain a standard four-year dental school to be administered by the University of Alabama, and since the university, in order to carry out that purpose, must itself necessarily continue to be accredited by the national and regional standardizing agencies, it is hereby expressly provided that appropriations made under this chapter, being set apart exclusively for the school of dentistry and for no other purpose, shall not adversely affect appropriations made to the university in support of its other schools, colleges, divisions and activities. (a) The Director of ADECA may establish and administer the broadband accessibility grant program for the purpose of promoting the deployment and adoption of broadband Internet access services to unserved areas. By June 26, 2018, the director shall adopt rules and policies to administer the program and begin to accept applications for grants, and shall adopt such rules as may be necessary to meet the future needs of the grant program.
