Section 16-47-198 Employees for museum; teaching at museum. The University of Alabama shall,
subject to the provisions of the State Employees' Retirement System, determine the number
of employees needed for the efficient and economical performance of the functions and duties
of the said University of Alabama Museum and shall hire such employees to operate, manage
and maintain the same. The study and teaching of archeology, history and related subjects
at said University of Alabama Museum shall be under the jurisdiction of the University of
Alabama, and the same shall be achieved and performed in a manner similar to other studies

Section 11-65-36 Application of net commission revenues. All commission horse wagering fees,

Section 16-25-11.18 Purchase of credit for prior service with United States Civil Service.
(a) Any active and contributing member of the Teachers' Retirement System or the Employees'
Retirement System may elect to purchase prior service credit in the system for employment
that the member had with the United States Civil Service at any military base of the United
States or as a graduate teaching assistant or graduate research assistant at any public college
or university in Alabama, if the employment service occurred prior to January 1, 1976, and
if the member complies with the conditions prescribed in subsection (b). (b) Any member eligible
