Section 2-2-7 Annual report; publication of handbooks, pamphlets, etc. The commissioner, with the approval of the State Board of Agriculture and Industries, shall submit each year on or before December 1 or as early thereafter as practicable to the Governor an annual report covering all operations of the Department of Agriculture and Industries and the condition, progress and needs of agriculture and industries throughout the state. Such annual report may be printed as now provided by law in sufficient quantities for general distribution as needed. He may publish, by and with the approval of the State Board of Agriculture and Industries, such handbooks, pamphlets, bulletins, notices and information as in his judgment will aid and promote agricultural and industrial development of Alabama and the enforcement of the provisions of law relating to agriculture and industries.
