Section 32-6-7.4 Disciplinary point system - Age of student eligibility. (a) Notwithstanding
any other provision of law, each student over the age of 12 years who is enrolled in a public
or private secondary school shall be subject to a disciplinary point system for an infraction
committed on school property to determine the age at which the student shall be allowed to
apply for a learner's permit, motor driven cycle operator's license, driver's license, or
any license required by the State of Alabama for the operation of a motor vehicle or vessel.
The disciplinary points imposed for a disciplinary action shall be as follows: (1) One day
in-school suspension - 1 point. (2) One day out-of-school suspension - 2 points. (3) Alternative
school placement - 6 points. (4) Expulsion - 20 points. (b)(1) The points shall accumulate
on a yearly basis, beginning with the school year including summer school in which the student

Section 11-3-44 Local Government Training Institute. (a) There is created and established
the Alabama Local Government Training Institute. All costs of operating and conducting the
institute shall be paid from public funds appropriated for this purpose. (b) The institute
shall have the power, duty, and authority to design, implement, and administer the course
of training and education pursuant to this article. (c) The course of training and education

Section 34-7B-15 Student registration. (a) No person may be registered as a student
unless he or she satisfies all of the following qualifications: (1) Is at least 16 years old.

program. (a) A child over the age of 17 may withdraw from public school prior to graduation
if both of the following circumstances exist: (1) Written consent is granted by the child's
parent or legal guardian. (2) An exit interview is conducted where the student and the student's
parent or legal guardian have been advised that withdrawal from school shall likely reduce
the student's future earning potential and increase the student's likelihood of being unemployed

Section 16-30-4 Presentation of certificate upon initial entrance into school. The boards
of education and the governing authority of each private school shall require each pupil who
is otherwise entitled to admittance to kindergarten or first grade, whichever is applicable,
or any other entrance into an Alabama public or private school, to present a certification
of immunization or testing for the prevention of those communicable diseases designated by
the State Health Officer, except as provided in Section 16-30-3. Provided, however,
