Section 41-4-65 Online database of state expenditures. (a) In this section, state entity shall
mean, the State of Alabama, a political subdivision, an agency, board, commission, or department
of the state, the State Board of Education, a public college or trade school, or a public
university, except that the term shall not mean a county, a municipal corporation, a county
board of education, a city board of education, or a professional licensure agency board that
is self-sustaining by its own revenues and fees. (b) The Comptroller shall establish and post
on the Internet a database of state expenditures, including contracts and grants, that are
electronically searchable by the public, except as provided by subsection (d). The database
shall include all of the following: (1) The amount, date, payor, and payee of expenditures.
(2) A listing of state expenditures by each of the following: a. The object of the expense

Section 16-1-35 Governor's Academic Achievement Program. (a) The "Governor's Academic
Achievement Program" is created to encourage and reward academic improvement in the public
schools of this state. (b) Pursuant to the State Board of Education Academic Assistance Program,

Section 16-11-10 Quadrennial census for city. The city board of education, subject to the provisions
of this title, shall cause to be taken under the direction of the city superintendent of schools
a quadrennial school census of the school children in the city between the ages of six and
19 years. The school census shall be taken in July of 1946, and every four years thereafter,
and the superintendent of schools, upon the direction at any time of the State Superintendent

Section 16-28-6 Children exempt from attending public school. (a) The following children, when
issued certificates of exemption by the county superintendent of education, where they reside
in territory under the control and supervision of the county board of education, or the city
superintendent of schools, where they reside in territory under the control and supervision

of education, which offers its employees a health benefits plan may make available to and
