Section 12-15-508 State Multiple Needs Children Fund established; use; limitations; accounting system to be maintained; provisions for yearly audit. (a) There is established in the State Treasury a fund to be known as the State Multiple Needs Children Fund which shall be administered by the agency designated by the Executive Council of the State Team. All taxes, fees, interest, or penalties imposed and all amounts of tax herein required to be paid to the state under this article must be paid to the Department of Revenue at Montgomery, Alabama, with remittance payable to the Treasurer of Alabama. (a) The Legislature finds that the number of students attending the several school systems located in those areas of North Alabama that will be directly impacted by the 2005 BRAC and Subsequent BRAC Actions will collectively increase by an estimated 9,000 students. As a result, there will be a need for the construction of additional school facilities as well as the renovation of existing school facilities.
