Section 16-26B-3 Funded; board of trustees; exemptions from required curriculum. (a) There
is created the Alabama School of Fine Arts, which shall be a residential and commuter institution
located in the City of Birmingham, Jefferson County. The school shall be funded by legislative

Section 16-3-3 Qualifications of members. The members of the board shall be qualified electors

Section 16-41-4 Administration of chapter by State Superintendent of Education; priorities
for implementation. (a) The State Superintendent of Education shall administer this chapter

by a person who holds a certificate issued by the State Superintendent of Education and who
offers instruction in the several branches of study required to be taught in the public schools
