Section 9-21-3 Definitions; diversity requirement on board. For the purposes of this
chapter, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) Board means the Alabama Board
for Aquatic Plant Management and shall include the following members: a. The Commissioner
of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources or his or her designee. b. The Commissioner
of the Department of Agriculture and Industries or his or her designee. c. The Director of
the Department of Environmental Management or his or her designee. d. The Director of the
Department of Economic and Community Affairs or his or her designee; e. The department head
of the Auburn University College of Agriculture School of Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures

Section 11-43-250 Elected official of Class 8 municipality authorized to appoint designee
to serve on state or local agency, board, etc. (a) In Class 8 municipalities, an elected official
of the municipality who is an ex officio member of a state or local agency, board, commission,
or other entity pursuant to law, may designate a person to serve in his or her place, who
shall assume all duties of the elected official relating to the entity, including all voting
rights and who shall be counted as a member for the purpose of conducting business. Provided,
that the elected official may not appoint a convicted felon to serve in his or her place unless

Section 16-49-20 Creation; composition; nominating committee. (a)(1) There is created
a Board of Trustees for Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, a state land-grant
educational institution at Huntsville. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and

named in the application and their respective successors in office shall constitute the members
