Section 27-17A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ALTERNATIVE CONTAINER. A nonmetal receptacle or enclosure, without ornamentation or a fixed interior lining, which is designed for the encasement of human remains and which is made of cardboard, pressed-wood, composition materials (with or without an outside covering), or pouches of canvas or other materials. (2) ARRANGEMENT CONFERENCE. The meeting occurring either at need or preneed between the seller and the purchaser during which funeral or cemetery merchandise and services are discussed. (3) ARRANGEMENT CONFERENCE FEE. The charge to the purchaser in conjunction with the arrangement conference. (4) AT NEED. At the time of death, or immediately following death. (5) AUTHORIZING AGENT. Section 40-25-2.1 Tax on cigar wrappers. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them by this section: (1) CIGAR WRAP. Section 40-2A-7 Uniform revenue procedures. (a) Maintenance of records; audit and subpoena authority; authority to issue regulations. (a) In addition to authority granted in Section 11-3-60, a county commission may adopt a procurement or purchasing program designed to simplify the purchasing of certain tangible personal property provided the program is designed in a manner that shall provide significant cost savings to the county and includes written policy and procedures for implementation and administration of the program as set out in subsection (c). Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability, the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68, but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average weekly earnings per week.
