Section 16-5-53 THIS SECTION WAS ASSIGNED BY THE CODE COMMISSIONER IN THE 2018
REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2018. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. (a) The
Alabama Math and Science Teacher Education Program shall be administered by the commission,
which may adopt any rules necessary for the administration of the program. (b) The commission
shall adopt standards for awarding loan repayments to an Alabama public school teacher who
satisfies all of the following: (1) Has graduated from an approved institution. (2) Holds
a valid Alabama professional educator certificate endorsed in math or science. (3) Is teaching
in an Alabama public school full-time in the field of math or science. (4) Is eligible to
receive additional funds for teaching math or science in a public school in a geographic area

Owners of motor vehicles or their spouses who are residents of Alabama and who are receiving
monthly retirement checks from an education retirement pension program from any state, shall

Section 16-6F-6 Authorization of establishment; Alabama Public Charter School Commission;

Section 16-6B-2 Core curriculum. Every Alabama student shall be given instruction in
