Section 16-38-8 Use of funds. (a) The moneys appropriated by the State of Alabama, the
funds deposited with the Treasurer under the provisions of the federal act and any other funds
accruing to the state for vocational rehabilitation training of disabled persons shall be
used by the State Board of Education for the purposes set forth in this chapter, and the moneys
appropriated and accruing shall be paid out upon requisition of the State Superintendent of
Education upon the Comptroller, who shall draw his warrants upon the Treasurer for the amount

Section 16-25-19 Administration. (a) The general administration and responsibility for
the proper operation of the retirement system and for making effective the provisions of this
chapter are hereby vested in a board of trustees which shall be known as the Board of Control

Section 16-3-19 Acceptance of federal funds by board. The State Board of Education may
accept for the State of Alabama any appropriation of money for the removal of illiteracy,
the teaching of immigrants and for other educational purposes which may hereafter be made
out of the federal Treasury by any acts of Congress; and the State Board of Education shall
be constituted the chief educational authority for the expenditure and administration of any
