Section 16-1-48 Anaphylaxis preparedness program. (a) The State Department of Education shall develop an anaphylaxis preparedness program to be adopted by each local board of education and implemented in each K-12 public school commencing with the 2015-2016 scholastic year. The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy shall provide guidance, direction, and advice to the State Department of Education in developing and administering the anaphylaxis preparedness program. (b) The anaphylaxis preparedness program shall incorporate the following three levels of prevention initiated by licensed public school nurses as a part of the health services program: (1) Level I, primary prevention: Education programs that address food allergies and anaphylaxis through both classroom and individual instruction for staff and students. Section 16-13-191 School tax district - Boundaries fixed by county board. In order to make it possible to work out a system of local tax units adapted to the needs of the whole county, the county board of education of its own initiative shall fix the boundaries of any school tax district within its jurisdiction in which it is proposed to levy a local school tax. In making application for a special election in any such district, the county board of education shall submit a map made by the county surveyor, or other competent person, showing the boundaries of the school tax district for which a special tax levy is proposed, indicating the section or sections and ranges, together with the correct description of the boundaries of the said district for which a special tax levy is proposed. (a) In making apportionment of the Public School Fund held by the state, to the local boards of education, the State Superintendent of Education shall first set apart and distribute to the schools of each township the amount due from the state thereto as interest on its sixteenth section fund, or other trust fund held by the state. The number, size, and composition, which shall include parents, of the committee or committees shall be determined by each local board of education.
