Section 16-28-20 Compensation of attendance officers. The attendance officers who are employed
by the county or city board of education shall be paid by the respective boards of education
such salaries as may be required to secure efficient service. Said attendance officer shall
be paid as other employees of the county or city boards of education are paid, but no attendance
officer shall receive any compensation under the provisions of this title until he shall have
filed such reports as are required by the State Board of Education and by the board of education

Section 40-3-8 Proration of compensation payments; employment of staff; inventory of property
