Section 34-21A-4 Meetings, compensation, expenses of the board. (a) Within 30 days after annual appointment of new members, the board shall meet for the purpose of organizing, electing new officers, and transacting such business as deemed necessary. This organizational meeting shall not be considered a regular quarterly meeting of the board. (b) The board shall meet at least four times a year on a quarterly basis with the board designating the months of the meetings for the coming year at its annual organizational meeting. Regular meetings shall be called by the chair who shall designate the time and place of each regular meeting. The chair or a majority of the members of the board may also call a special meeting of the board. (c) Board members shall be given at least 10 days' notice of regular meetings and a minimum of five days' notice for special meetings.
