Section 16-25-7 Certain persons employed by Alabama High School Athletic Association. (a) All persons now employed on a full-time basis in an administrative or clerical capacity by the Alabama High School Athletic Association may become members of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama within 90 days after October 1, 1967, subject to such rules and regulations as may be promulgated by the Board of Control of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama. Any person hereafter employed in an administrative or clerical capacity by the Alabama High School Athletic Association shall be deemed to be a "teacher" as defined in Section 16-25-1 and shall be entitled to the benefits thereof. Effective October 1, 1997, all the assets of the retirement system shall be credited according to the purpose for which they are held among three funds, namely: The Annuity Savings Fund, the Pension Accumulation Fund, and the Expense Fund. Section 9-10A-19 Employees deemed members of State Retirement System. (a) Any person who is regularly employed by a watershed management authority established pursuant to this chapter shall be deemed to be an "employee" of the State of Alabama, as defined in Section 36-27-1.
