Section 45-17A-82.02 Applicability; implementing rules and regulations; job descriptions; regular status; reduction in salary or compensation. (a) All covered employees of the City of Tuscumbia shall be subject to this part and the rules and regulations prescribed in or promulgated pursuant to this part. (b) All implementing rules and regulations shall be approved by the city council, based upon applicable state and federal laws, and shall provide rules for examination and appointment of new employees, reassignment of current employees, separations, disciplinary actions to include suspensions, demotions, and dismissals, layoffs, leaves of absence with pay, leaves of absence without pay, and all other matters determined by the city council to be required to effectively implement the intent of this part. Section 15-18-175 Eligibility; exclusion; sentencing. (a) An offender who meets one of the following minimum criteria shall be considered eligible for punishment in the community under this article: (1) Persons who, without this option, would be incarcerated in a correctional institution or who are currently incarcerated in a correctional institution.
