Section 40-2A-4 Taxpayers' bill of rights. (a) Rights of the taxpayer. (1) For purposes of
this subsection and subsections (c) and (d), the term "department" shall include
the Department of Revenue, a self-administered county or municipality, or a private examining
or collecting firm, depending on whether the Department of Revenue, a self-administered county
or municipality, or private examining or collecting firm is conducting the examination of
the taxpayer. (2) At or before the commencement of an examination of the books and records
of a taxpayer, the department shall provide to the taxpayer the current version of Publication

Section 41-16-72 Procurement of professional services. Any other provision of law notwithstanding,
the procurement of professional services by any agency, department, board, bureau, commission,
authority, public corporation, or instrumentality of the State of Alabama shall be conducted
through the following selection process: (1)a. Except as otherwise provided herein, attorneys
retained to represent the state in litigation shall be appointed by the Attorney General in
consultation with the Governor from a listing of attorneys maintained by the Attorney General.
All attorneys interested in representing the State of Alabama may apply and shall be included

skill, experience, and expertise required in the litigation and the fees charged by the attorney

Section 5-17-8 Reports to Administrator of Alabama Credit Union Administration; powers of administrator.
(a) Credit unions shall report to the Administrator of the Alabama Credit Union Administration
at least annually on or before January 31 in such manner and form as required by the administrator
for that purpose. Additional reports may be required. Credit unions shall be examined at least
every 18 months by employees of the administration or by other persons designated by the administrator.
For failure to file reports when due, unless excused for cause by the administrator, the credit
union shall pay to the State Treasurer five dollars ($5) for each day of its delinquency.
(b) If the administrator determines that the credit union is violating this chapter, or is
insolvent, the administrator may suspend operations of the credit union by issuing an order

Section 12-15-314 Dispositions for dependent children. (a) If a child is found to be dependent,
the juvenile court may make any of the following orders of disposition to protect the welfare
of the child: (1) Permit the child to remain with the parent, legal guardian, or other legal

Section 16-22-6 Policies as to salary deductions; purposes for which deductions may be made;
application. (a) Each local board of education and certain postsecondary institutions shall
adopt policies or regulations which will provide for deductions from salaries of its employees
or groups of employees whenever a request is presented to the board or postsecondary institution
by the employees or groups. The deductions shall be made from salaries earned in at least
