Section 22-22-9 Powers and duties; enforcement of orders; permits; civil penalties for violations. (a) It shall be the duty of the commission to control pollution in the waters of the state, and it shall specifically have the following powers: (1) To study and investigate all problems concerned with the improvement and conservation of the waters of the state; (2) To conduct, independently and in cooperation with others, studies, investigation and research and to prepare, or in cooperation with others prepare, a program or programs, any or all of which shall pertain to the purity and conservation of the waters of the state or to the treatment and disposal of pollutants or other wastes, which studies, investigations, research and program or programs shall be intended to result in the reduction of pollution of the waters of the state according to the conditions and particular circumstances existing in the various communities throughout the state; and (3) To propose remedial measures...

Section 34-27-36 Disciplinary action - Generally. (a) The commission or its staff may on its own, or on the verified complaint in writing of any person, investigate the actions and records of a licensee. The commission may issue subpoenas and compel the testimony of witnesses and the production of records and documents during an investigation. If probable cause is found, a formal complaint shall be filed and the commission shall hold a hearing on the formal complaint. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially as follows: SECTION 1. Section 16-1-31 Elective course credit for participation in YMCA Youth and Government programs. (a) Each public local board of education may provide that a high school student who participates in YMCA Youth and Government programs may earn elective course credit for participation providing that Section 16-28-5, which requires 140 days of instruction by a certified teacher, is adhered to. (b) The amount of elective course credit granted for participation in YMCA Youth and Government programs shall be determined by the local board of education, but the credit shall not exceed one credit unit.
