person employed in the capacity set out in subsection (a) of this section shall be entitled
to receive credit for all service as a teacher rendered by him provided that said person pays
to the Secretary-Treasurer within one year from October 1, 1990 for each year of claimed service,
a sum equal to a percentage of his average final compensation or current annual earnable compensation,
whichever is greater; the applicable percentage shall be the sum of the prevailing percentage
rates of employer and member contributions, as required by the most recent actuarial valuations,
for each year of service purchased. In the event the employer is unable to verify the salary
or employment of any person covered in subsection (a) of this section, upon certification
of such employer that records are not available, the member may submit affidavits from two
disinterested parties with personal knowledge attesting to the salary and employment

Section 33-1-5 Officers and employees; employee compensation plan. (a) All employees and officers
of the Alabama State Port Authority, except the director, executive level employees hired
pursuant to Section 33-1-3, and those exempt under Section 36-26-10, shall be subject to the

Section 36-27D-1 Forfeiture or suspension of retirement benefits; refunds; liability. (a) On
and after May 15, 2012, any person who is an active or inactive member of the Employees' Retirement
System, the Teachers' Retirement System, or the Judicial Retirement Fund who has an accrued
benefit shall forfeit retirement benefits upon a guilty plea, a plea of no contest, or a final

Section 12-18-2 Administration of fund; disbursement of funds; appeals from decisions of Board
of Control. (a) The Judicial Retirement Fund shall be administered by the Secretary-Treasurer
of the State Employees' Retirement System under the supervision of the Board of Control of

apply to city boards of education unless otherwise provided by local law pursuant to Amendment

Section 36-25-4.2 State Ethics Commission - State Ethics Law training programs. (a) At the
beginning of each legislative quadrennium, the State Ethics Commission shall provide for and
administer training programs on the State Ethics Law for members of the Legislature, state
constitutional officers, cabinet officers, executive staff, municipal mayors, council members
and commissioners, county commissioners, and lobbyists. (1) The training program for legislators
shall be held at least once at the beginning of each quadrennium for members of the Legislature.
An additional training program shall be held if any changes are made to this chapter, and
