Section 16-25-10.11 Officers and employees of School Superintendents of Alabama. (a)
The governing body of the School Superintendents of Alabama, by resolution legally adopted
to conform to the rules prescribed by the Board of Control of the Teachers' Retirement System,
may elect to have its executive officers and employees, from whatever source and in whatever
manner paid, continue eligibility to participate in the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama,
subject to all rules, regulations, and conditions thereof. (b) The governing body of the School
Superintendents of Alabama having made an election through a resolution as provided in subsection
(a), its employees and executive officers may continue to participate in and be entitled to
all benefits of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama. Where contributions are made from
salaries paid by the School Superintendents of Alabama, the School Superintendents of Alabama

the proper operation of the retirement system and for making effective the provisions of this
chapter are hereby vested in a board of trustees which shall be known as the Board of Control
and shall be organized immediately after a majority of the trustees provided for in this section
