Section 16-6B-8 Participation in Foundation Program. (a) In order for a local board of education to participate in the state Foundation Program certain conditions shall be met. The teacher salary schedule of the local board of education shall be at least 100 percent of the amount specified within the State Minimum Salary Schedule delineated by cell for the type of degree and years of experience of each teacher. All funds allocated to a local board of education for teacher salaries shall be spent for salaries in the instructional program. Section 22-22B-5 Proceeds from sale of recycled materials; employee awards. (a) All proceeds from the sale of recyclable materials generated by the state agencies shall be deposited into the State Treasury to the credit of the operations fund of the agency which generated the recyclable materials. (b)(1) Employee awards in an amount not to exceed $25.00 per fiscal year for each employee of the state agency are hereby authorized but not required. It is the intent of the Legislature that the amount of such awards not be considered cumulative and the maximum amount expended in any one fiscal year for any one employee shall not exceed $25.00. Section 36-29-7 Payment of employer's contribution; coverage for dependents; changes to contributions; withholding of employee's contribution; State Employees' Insurance Fund. (a) The board is hereby authorized to provide under the provisions of this chapter that the employer's contribution to the cost of such plan for coverage of the employee and retiree shall be paid by the employer.
